Assigning a Policy to a User Group

A policy must be assigned to a User Group. It defines what the User Group can do; it defines User Group permissions. It can also be detached from the User Group. For information about adding a policy, see here.

The instructions here show how to assign a policy to a User Group from the User Group page.

To assign a policy to a User Group:
1. Add a User Group as shown here.
2. Click Edit adjacent to the User Group.
3. Select the Policies tab.

4. Click the Attach Policy button.

5. Select the Policy to assign to the User Group and then click Submit.

To detach a policy, click Detach adjacent to the policy in the 'Policies list'.
